Here are some preliminary sketches for a series of Illustrations based aroud my adaptation of 'Beauty and the Beast.'
I researched the original french tale as ten-tackles suggested on my journal entry.
I wanted to give her more of a stern and robust look rather than the ditsy thing Disney turned her into. I also used a slighty more mature style to what I have been using.
These are still rough at the moment, and I think she looks a little plump in the 3/4 portrait.

[link]Oh and btw, I intend to produce a few illustrations from this tale and then move onto a few more tales, again producing lots of sketches and illustrations for my portfolio.

I do like the idea of a more fuller figure anyways, thin dosen't necessary mean beautiful.
