"The Avoidant Personality monster is similar to Social Anxiety but much smaller in size and prefers to live above ground. They spend most of their time hiding in trees, using their leaf-like wings to camouflage and hide from anyone or anything that is around them.
The have an unsightly appearance to ward off contact with other monsters but are in fact gentle and kind creatures, having a delicate beauty about them that even the creature is mostly unaware of. They never get the chance to show off this side of their character because they are so shy and withdrawn."

This might be the last new design for a while. I have something planned for these little critters and will involve some slight redesigns of all my previous monsters...

Do you think the design relates to your experience with APD?

Im glad you think it fits. I get very shy with people too, to the point that I dont socialize in person at all really.
I wish you all the best with your monster! =)

I kind of imagine that this creature has some kind of beautiful pattern or color on its torso, but you can never see it because it always covers it up with its wings.

Another fantastic design Zesty. Love how different this one is with the bat influence.

That's a great idea! I imagined something like that but didnt know quite what it was hiding, but a beautiful pattern makes a lot of sense.
Thank you for your comments as always =)
(I realized I was basing a lot of my designs on standard four legged mammals, and found the bat influence really refreshing. Im going to try and broaden my references a bit i think...)

You're very welcome. I appreciate that you respond to them, as well. There are a lot of really interesting animals that live in jungles or in the ocean. Or Australia. You have such a great imagination and eye for design that I'm sure whatever you come up with will be spectacular and unique.

(oh thank you!)
With the redesign project, im going to try and bring elements into each individual design to create a range of characters that belong to the same species of monsters. So I think incorporating lots of different animal types and will be very interesting and exciting.
You've actually given me a great idea for a new monster, but that will have to wait.
(I have to put the real monsters on hold for a bit, might not be able to resume until Easter, or if not then... Might have to wait till June!)
Eeekk =)
